We educate, empower, and mobilize the public to advocate for transparent, secure, and accurate evidence-based elections

JOIN SCRUTINEERS TO PROMOTE TRANSPARENT ELECTIONS:

State Teams

All elections are local! The 50 U.S. states have different election laws, and many of the 8,000+ election jurisdictions have their own rules and procedures.

State Teams helps you learn a specific jurisdiction’s laws and election methods to assess whether it’s using best practices in security and transparency. Attend weekly National Team meetings to connect with others and learn about the positive actions you can take!

2026 Poll Tapes Project

Poll Tapes (aka Results Tapes) are produced by every scanner/tabulator in polling places.

Given the looming threats of ballot/equipment seizures, one of the easiest, yet most effective actions you can take to secure election results is to record Poll Tapes on Election Night. Join us in recruiting volunteers to record this critical election data!

Observing Election Processes

Public oversight is key to trustworthy elections! Learn how to observe election processes, from the pre-election Logic and Accuracy Testing of equipment, to Early Voting and Election Day observations, to recounts and audits.

Join a State Team to learn what the public is allowed to observe in that state, and how to effectively observe and assess different processes.

Online Community Gatherings

Attend our monthly Community Gathering to discuss current election news, share ideas, and learn from and support each other.

Community Gatherings: First Wednesday evening of each month.
8pm Eastern (5pm Pacific). Approximately one hour.

Online Trainings

By joining our community, you’ll have access to our live and recorded trainings and events.

Some example topics include:
• How Computers Count Votes
• Working with Election Officials
• Intro to Election Transparency
• Observing Election Audits

Technology & Audits

We examine and analyse technologies and procedures that make elections more transparent, voting secure, and audits of all contests inexpensive and routine.

Vulnerabilities inherent in computer systems must be mitigated by rigorous checks of software updates, logic & accuracy tests, equipment chain of custody, etc.
